The Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival returns to Royal Lahaina on August 21 and 22, free to the community.

Friday, 5:30 to 9:00 PM at The Branches: the Aloha Friday Concert with Namaka Pauʻole, the 2025 Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Haʻihaʻi falsetto champion, followed by Hoʻokena at 7:00 PM marking 40 years of mele Hawaiʻi.

Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM: hālau hula from across Maui perform all day, with free hula and ʻukulele workshops, cultural demonstrations, keiki activities, a make and take Hawaiian implement workshop, and a mākeke of Made on Maui crafters. Food and beverage concessions both days.

Two days in honor of Aunty Emma, who spent her life teaching hula and carrying Hawaiian culture forward on this coast.
