🌸🌹🌺Pink, red, coral... together at a wedding? Always yes. Especially when it carries personal meaning.

For this colorful Spring wedding at the historic Casino San Clemente, the bride wanted to honor her Chinese heritage by incorporating vibrant red—a color symbolizing joy, love, and good fortune.

We paired it with soft blush and coral to create a bold, artful palette that felt joyful, modern, and deeply personal.

This is what I love most about floral design—helping couples weave their personalities and cultures into their day, through blooms that feel like them. It’s not just about aesthetic, it’s about being authentic.

I wore a black wedding dress—and I’d do it again, and again.

I’ve never been great at following the rules just because they exist. Even as a kid, tradition never held much weight for me unless it made sense in my mind and heart.

So when it came time to plan my wedding, I had one of those lightning bolt moments. I realized…I didn’t want to wear white. It didn’t feel like me. I was thinking of wearing something off white, champagne, a going for a print or a color.

What ended up feeling like me? A totally unexpected black, mermaid style gown. It made me feel powerful, comfortable, grounded, and fully myself.

That choice was a turning point—not just in planning a wedding, but in the way I move through this crazy world. When I don’t hesitate, do whats expected of me, or follow trends or traditions (for no apparent reason other than they exist) - I feel freakin’ GOOD.

So here’s your permission slip to skip the stuff that doesn’t resonate with you. Whether it’s ditching the bouquet toss, walking down the aisle solo, or choosing colors that actually light you up—your wedding should feel like you.

Immersing a couple in their own personal garden is one of my favorite things. The next slide shows the initial design, but once we got the grooms seated we realized the flowers on the table were distracting. We love a lush floral moment, but we want you and your partner to be the focal point.
