Hailing from Queensland, Australia, Sandi realized her penchant for baking at the early age of six and used her newfound interest as a clever alternative to chores on her family’s farm. Her father, a cook in the Italian army encouraged her to continue with her passion, which would soon lead to a global education. With a strong curiosity toward her Italian roots, she secured a position spearheading the executive concierge of the Italian airline, Alitalia. Frequenting Rome and Milan as international hubs, Sandi took advantage of cooking lessons with some of the best chef’s from her father’s hometown of Friuli, Udine. After three years in Italy, she moved to Los Angeles, embarking on a career in Hollywood. Excelling in many posts including studio executive, talent agent and producer, Sandi continuously baked throughout her career and became the go-to-girl for cakes and desserts amongst the Hollywood community. At the top of 2011, she launched her brand Sandicakes in conjunction with Mad Hatter Events. Sandi has catered large celebrity fundraiser events such as Fresh stART, which raised money to benefit therapeutic art programs for at-risk youth and in April, sandi catered a 400-person spring fundraiser celebrity event honoring young outstanding heroes in the LA community.
