Okayyyy… remember when we said she got a makeover? 👀
Here she is.

Over the last year, The Dream Co. has grown, changed, learned a LOT 😂 and become so much more than the little idea we started with.

We knew it was time for our brand to grow with us.

This new look feels more like who The Dream Co. has become — bold, elevated, professional, a little extra, and still completely us.

But Dream Co. 2.0 is about way more than a new logo.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on a better client experience, updated packages, new planning systems, more resources, and a Dream Co. that is ready to dream even BIGGER with you.

And don’t worry… we’re still the same two women who will obsess over your tablescape, send you 47 ideas, figure out how to make the expensive Pinterest idea fit the budget, and probably laugh with you through half the planning process. 😂

We’ve spent the last year learning, growing, dreaming BIGGER… and figuring out exactly who we want The Dream Co. to be.

And apparently, she’s getting a little makeover. 🤭🌿

Last week we talked weddings, so this week we're switching it up!

🎂 What can a $1,000 décor budget do for a FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY?

For this example, let's say we're expecting around 30–40 guests and our venue, food & cake are already taken care of. We've got $1,000 to work with for the design, décor, setup and all those little details that bring the party together.

Here's one way The Dream Co. might spend it:

✨ $250 — Backdrop + Focal Area
🎈 $200 — Balloons
🌸 $175 — Centerpieces + Table Décor
🪧 $100 — Welcome Sign + Party Signage
🎨 $100 — Kids' Activity/Coloring Station
🎂 $75 — High Chair + Cake Smash Details
🤍 $50 — Finishing Touches
💰 $50 — Flex Fund

TOTAL: $1,000 🎉

But here's today's little planner lesson… 👀

A $1,000 budget for a party with 30 guests and a $1,000 budget for a party with 100 guests are two completely different budgets.

More guests can mean more tables, more centerpieces, more place settings, more favors, more seating and more décor needed to make the space feel complete.

That's why one of the FIRST things we want to know when helping you build an event budget is how many people are coming.

Pretty events are fun to look at…but there’s a whole lot of planning behind making all those pretty details actually WORK.

So every Monday, we're breaking down a different hypothetical event budget and showing you how The Dream Co. would spend it!

First up: 💍 A $3,000 WEDDING BUDGET
For this example, we're talking specifically about a $3,000 budget for coordination, décor, setup & event details — separate from major expenses like your venue, catering, photographer and entertainment.

Here's one way we might allocate it:
🤍 $900 — Coordination + Event Management
🌿 $650 — Centerpieces + Décor
✨ $400 — Backdrop/Focal Area
🪧 $300 — Signage
🛠️ $350 — Décor Setup + Breakdown
🕯️ $250 — Rentals + Misc. Details
💰 $150 — Flex Fund
TOTAL: $3,000

But here's the important part…

We wouldn't automatically use this exact breakdown for every couple.

Maybe photos are incredibly important to you, so we put more money into your ceremony backdrop.

Maybe you couldn't care less about a big focal display but want your reception tables to be STUNNING.

Maybe you already own half of your décor, which frees up hundreds of dollars for something else.

✨ That's the planning part. ✨

A planner's job isn't simply to spend your budget. It's to understand your vision, figure out your priorities, anticipate the little things you may not have thought about, and strategically use the money you DO have to create an event that feels cohesive from beginning to end.

You don't always need a bigger budget.
