Summer Time Fun!

It's been a packed weekend with three shows! We wouldn't have it any other way! We have a private tour Tuesday night, a photoshoot Wednesday and another packed weekend of shows!

🐍💚 A Little Chandler Appreciation Post! 💚🦎

We just wanted to take a minute to brag on Chandler a little bit because, well… he deserves it!

When Chandler joined the Acadiana Reptile Adventures crew, we knew he would be a great addition, but watching him grow into the role has made us even more proud to have him on our team. He works hard, jumps in wherever he’s needed, asks questions, learns, and most importantly, genuinely cares about our animals and what we do.

Around here, being part of the team means a little bit of everything, handling reptiles, cleaning enclosures, helping with projects, working events, getting dirty, lifting things that are way heavier than they look, and occasionally dealing with a reptile that decides to create its own adventure. 😂🐍

Through all of it, Chandler continues to step up and impress us.

But beyond being a great employee, he has truly become part of our little ARA family. We trust him, we appreciate him, and we’re incredibly proud of how far he has come and how much he continues to grow.

Building Acadiana Reptile Adventures means so much to our family, so having someone beside us who puts his own time, effort, and heart into helping us build it means more than we can really say.

Chandler, thank you for working hard, putting up with us, loving these crazy animals, and being along for the adventure. 😂💚 We’re lucky to have you, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

Acadiana Reptile Adventures is excited to announce that we are currently planning a FREE sensory friendly reptile event for children on the autism spectrum, anticipated to take place in February 2027.

Our goal is to provide an inclusive and comfortable environment where children can explore, learn about, and interact with reptiles at their own pace. We are thoughtfully planning the event to incorporate sensory-friendly activities, educational materials, and spaces that allow children and families to enjoy the experience in a way that works best for them.

Because this event will be offered at no cost to participating families, we are seeking support from local businesses and community members to help cover the supplies and materials needed to make the event possible.

We are currently offering two sponsorship opportunities and would love to connect with businesses and organizations interested in supporting this event.

Delilah! She is a 4 year old Burmese python and an absolute sweet heart!

Meet Bonnie! She is a motley platinum Reticulated python! Here are some fun facts about retics!

- World's Longest Snake! They are the absolute longest snakes on the planet. Some can grow over 20 feet long—that's longer than a minivan!

- ​Built-In Camouflage: Their name means "net-like" because of the awesome diamond patterns on their backs. It helps them blend perfectly into the jungle leaves.

- ​Super Swimmers: They don't just stay in the trees! They are amazing swimmers and have even been spotted swimming out in the middle of the ocean.

- ​Superhero Heat Vision: They have special spots on their lips that let them "see" the body heat of other animals, helping them hunt in the pitch dark!

- ​Shivering Moms: Mother pythons wrap tightly around their eggs to protect them. If the eggs get too cold, the mom will actually shiver her muscles to create heat and keep her babies warm!
