At 3 years of age, he drugged the house furniture outside on the front lawn to stage a show. He watched golden-age noir films with his mother and father, and he had desired to direct, produce, and perform for as long as he could remember. At 5, he started a restaurant in his family’s garage to make money to buy more candy. Now he knew business was the way to go, since father had a small math teach
ing business and taught Science and math in the public schools of Indiana. Brian saw himself directing a film at 7, after studying the World Book Encyclopedia on “Movies” in the M section. A sound stage pictured all 75 people responsible for putting together a movie. He saw himself as the man in the suit with the number next to it in superscript. He didn’t know what that meant, but it looked like fun, and Cecil B. DeMille held that role in The Ten Commandments. By 1974, performing skits in elementary school through High school, Cody High in Detroit, and Roosevelt in Gary, he became a natural actor. Short skits were produced, performed, and written until 1989, when he moved to Cade, Louisiana. Now a part-time actor and laid-off Accountant, he started back into community theatre at USL, and other local theaters and schools. By 2001, he met Dr. Alex C Marshall and would adopt him as a student and son for life. Taylor found his vision again, as he told Dr Marshall he wanted to act again. Dr. Marshall said, “It is never too late to fulfill your dream.”
