The Barn on Church Street

Steeped in history and evoking the simplicity of a place that time had forgotten, The Barn on Church Street is now breathing new life. The Barn was built by friends and family for George White in 1939 and has been a landmark in Macon County ever since. The barn remained in the White family until 2018 when Alice Grey White passed away and the estate was divided into parcels and sold at auction.

Enter Don & Jennifer West who had a vision to give new life to the old barn, okay so it took him a little longer to see her vision - which was to renovate it and make it a place where people could celebrate new beginnings or any of life’s big moments in a warm and inviting environment with the charm and character of an (almost) 100 year old barn! Eventually he came around to seeing what she saw and the renovations started in February of 2019.

To pay honor to the barns history we’ve taken our time and re-purposed as much of the beautiful wood that was in the barn as possible but we are pleased to say we are now open! Come and take a tour of the barn so that you can appreciate the time and love that went into saving this part of Macon County history.
