Festival Plaza is a gathering place in Old Town Lafayette on Public Road and Chester Streets. The Plaza is composed of a series of four smaller interconnected plazas each designed with features to promote various events. The splash pad fountains will be on daily from 10am to 8pm; Memorial Day through Labor Day. Note that the fountains may be turned off during scheduled events.

The City is excited to announce the lineup for the 2025 Art Night Out season. Join your friends and neighbors every second Friday, May through September, from 5-9pm along South Public Road between Emma and Cannon Streets. Art Night Out features live music, street performers, an art market, food trucks, and a beer, wine, and cider garden.

September 12 - Colorado Mambo Orchestra
Festivities begin at 5pm, with two full city blocks closed to traffic, with up to 50 art vendors and eight food trucks. Enjoy live performances by the Center for Musical Arts and the Arts Hub, plus a caricature artist, face painter, balloon artist, magician, and street performers. Enjoy special performances at 6pm that celebrate Colorado’s cultural diversity. The monthly headliner starts at 6:30pm, with dancing in Festival Plaza until 9pm. There are always plenty of great free activities for families and friends to enjoy!

Our Story

Festival Plaza is a gathering place in the heart of Old Town Lafayette on Public Road and Chester Streets. The Plaza is composed of smaller, interconnected gathering spaces, each designed with features to promote various events. The Plaza is surrounded by popular dining, arts, and shopping establishments. Most years, it is also home to local festival and gatherings. Starting Memorial Day the fountains will be on from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily until Labor Day. Note that the fountains may be turned off during scheduled events. During the summer of 2020, the fountains will not be turned on due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 health crisis.
