When one of my best friends of all time (Emilee Warrick) reached out to me saying she wanted to hire some day of help for her sisters wedding in order to relieve some of the brides stress on her big day I said HECK YEAH. Kalyn and her family were amazing to work with. And I am so grateful they allowed me to help out.
October 2nd 2021 was not the ideal day for an outdoor wedding. By that I mean it’s hard to choose a more perfect fall wedding date, but it rained ALL morning and afternoon on and off. Quickly crushing any plans previously made including outdoor wooden benches, a barefoot walk down a grassy aisle, and a clean white dress against nothing but a woodsy backdrop.
From arrival until ceremony time my helpful assistant (Mason Nolan) and I, along with a couple helpful family members, ran around in ponchos and rain boots reconfiguring a hundred tiny details. We were able to create an outdoor wedding in midst of rain underneath a picnic pavilion not far from the original site. This included barely squeezing a beautiful handmade arch under the roof, and configuring some kind of seating for guests.
When all of these little details came together with the brides taste and beautiful color choices, you completely forget about the craze of the day before the ceremony began. I won’t deny we made a lot of decisions on the fly that day, and pretty much every detail was reevaluated but it ended up being beautiful and perfect for this family.
Thank you again for the opportunity to help you on your special day!! And congratulations to the Aldrich’s on forever!
