JLO 5K Color Run 🎨🏃‍♀️

The Junior Leaders Organization (JLO) hosted the 5K Color Run at the Rusk County Fair Saturday, August 8, 2026, and what a beautiful morning it was! ☀️🌈

We had 15 amazing participants join us, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you who came out and supported the event!

Thank you all for helping make our second 5K Color Run a success! 💜 We are already looking forward to next year and can’t wait to see you all again!

Until next year—keep running, keep smiling, and keep spreading the color! 🌈🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Congratulations to our winners of our 1st ever Tallest W**d Competition held during the Fair!

1st place: Randy Meisengier with 129 1/2" tall Canadian Lettuce
2nd palce: Anneka vanDoorn with 127" tall Giant Rag W**d
3rd place: Emily vanDoorn with 125 tall Gian Rag W**d

We had 12 contestants. Thank you to all who participated and thank you to Paula Carow who judged the competition.

And just like that… another Rusk County Fair is in the books! 🎡🐄🎠

After months of planning, preparing, working, and probably a little bit of stressing 😅, it’s hard to believe fair week is already over. But seeing the smiles, the kids showing off their animals, families making memories, and our community coming together makes every bit of it worth it!

Now we want to see YOUR fair memories! 📸❤️

Rusk County Fair

Thank you for the kindness and welcoming us into your family. We can not say enough about everyone involved in the fair.

We are soooo sorry about not being able to come see every person and hang out. We were very busy.

The fair is building something special. We made some amazing friends.

You treated our kids like they were part of your family. That means so much to us. We will be back. Rusk County Fair is a hidden gem.
