Today forecast calls for laughs and smiles when traveling to Portland, Oregon. I was recently invited to attend the Travel Portland Fam and I left this fam experience feeling like family. It felt like home to me. Portland, with all their offerings, felt familiar to me in an intimate way. The locals were friendly, and the strangers talked to you like they had you over for the dinner the night before. Speaking of dinner, the food was new and amazing! The Rice Krispy sushi roll was worth the whole trip by itself!
The hotels offered all levels of experiences from your Ritz Carlton to your boutique The Nines Hotel. From the downtown corridors it only took us roughly forty minutes to arrive to their countryside wineries where you could taste the olive oils and soak in all the local flare. I couldn’t understand how this city added up to so many hand-crafted, customized experiences. All I know is the rain didn’t stop us from enjoying the moment.
The infrastructure of the city is accessible for local or visiting travelers right from the airport to your downtown cityscape. The entire Travel Portland team Jamie McCool Tracey Chapman, IOM Antwain Peterson, Chanel Sheragy, CMP, CASE Dione Williams, Jennifer Needham, Kim Graves, James Jessie, Shawna Wellman, CMP, CASE, Erica Vanausdoll and Kayla Hall deserve a huge ovation. The teamwork and attention to detail ushered in such a timeless experience. The city of Portland was singing my whole life ….
