Owner Debbie Gordy has been involved in the flower business for

over 30 years and has owned Compton's Florist since 1994. Debbie has earned the Texas Master Florist certification and joins a select group of professionals who have made a commitment to individual excellence within the floral industry. She has served as Past President of both the Allied Florists of Houston, TX and of the Texas State Florists Association. She has also served as the director of La Porte's Education Foundation and has been a longtime member of the La Porte / Bayshore Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, Gordy was one of ten finalists for Teleflora's Tom Butler Floral Retailer of the Year Award.
