Our new Seminole Delivery System is already making flower deliveries easier. The adjustable pegs hold vases of different shapes and sizes securely, even on our gravel Missouri roads.

As a bonus, it also keeps paint cans, slow cookers, and archery targets from sliding around. Apparently, it’s not just for flowers!

With a hot week ahead, we’re doing a little problem solving around the shop.

Today’s project is figuring out how to give the cooler’s air conditioner some shade and help it work a little more efficiently in the heat. This is definitely the “work in progress” version, but sometimes you start with what you have and improve from there.

Opposites really do attract.

Complementary colors sit across from each other on the color wheel. In these designs, the deep magenta leans toward red violet, while the soft green carnations and foliage bring in the opposite side of the wheel.

It’s a softer take on complementary color, but there’s still enough contrast to make the colors stand out.

Being in the network, I had the pleasure of working with on Maria and Zachary’s wedding!

Today’s flower delivery took me to Chandler Hill Vineyards in Defiance, Missouri for a Poppy wedding.

Soft whites, green hydrangeas, trailing amaranthus and anthurium came together in these modern floral designs. This photo was taken just after drop off, before they were moved into their final places for the celebration.

Three hours on the road, and the flowers arrived safely and ready for the wedding.

I took our local school colors and gave them a contemporary twist, playing with line, texture, space and asymmetrical balance. School starts next week, so red and white seemed like the perfect colors to work with.

In this design, yellow and violet sit opposite each other on the color wheel, creating contrast. The other colors add depth, while touches of white give your eye a place to rest.
