Heads up!
Start planning early for the first rodeo of the spring season, Sunday, April 6, in La Grange.
You'll see bull riding, ba****ck and saddle bronc riding, team and calf roping, steer wrestling, and barrel racing. And kids, don't forget the famous goat scramble!
Rodeo events start at 8 a.m.; get there before noon to see the Queen Ceremony, Grand Entry is at 1 pm. It's all at the La Grange Rodeo Arena, overlooking the Tuolumne River canyon, just east of town, 30433 Yosemite Blvd, La Grange 95329, where parking is free. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
La Grange Rodeo tickets are $20 at the gate, $10 for kids 6-12, and kids 5 and under are free. The La Grange Rodeo Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a rodeo built on the heritage and traditions of our community. It all happens in La Grange, on Hwy 132, 25 miles west of Coulterville, 30 miles east of Modesto, 30 miles north of Merced on Hwy J-59.
