🪙 Freight Fact Friday! Did you know that Louisville’s transit system used its own "currency" in the early 1900s?

🚂 These Louisville Railway tokens pre-date the paper transfers and digital systems we use today. My favorite detail? The "School Ticket" tokens. These were dedicated specifically for student commutes, acting as an early version of the student transit passes we see in major cities today.

It’s a great reminder of how deeply transportation and education have always been linked in our community.
