The Union County Fair is excited to kick off construction on our long-awaited sewer, bathroom, and shower project — more than 25 years in the making!

Join us Friday, November 14 at the Union County Fairgrounds as we celebrate this milestone with everyone who helped make it happen.

Update!!

Good news from the fairgrounds! The driver has come forward and taken responsibility for our little “fence and power pole” incident.

We’re grateful they did the right thing — accidents happen, and it takes character to own up to them. Our fence and pole may have been a little worse for wear, but now we can focus on getting them fixed.

We all know that curve can be dangerous, especially in the winter months, so we’re just thankful no one was hurt.

Big thanks again to the driver for stepping up — and here’s to smoother turns ahead!

We’re thrilled to share that our sewer project at the Union County Fairgrounds has officially been FUNDED — thanks to Oregon State Lottery funds and the approval of HB 2527, signed into law today by Governor Tina Kotek!

This is a major win for our community — paving the way for essential water and sewer infrastructure improvements that will support future growth, safety, and long-term use of the fairgrounds.

We’re already planning for the 2026 Union County Fair — and we need your help picking the theme!

💡 Submit your best theme idea by next Wednesday, August 13 by replying to this post. The Fair Board will review submissions and either select one or open it up for public vote.

✨ The winning theme will be brought to life by a local artist for our 2026 poster — and it will help quilters and open class exhibitors start planning early for next year’s themed entries!

A Perfect Week ✨
As the lights go out on another Union County Fair, our hearts are full.

This week was everything we hoped it would be — a celebration of community, tradition, hard work, and joy. We’re so thankful for every person who made it special: from the kids showing animals to the families filling the stands, the volunteers, vendors, performers, and every single visitor.

Thank you for showing up, for cheering loud, for making memories.
