Question: How many servings of fruit and vegetables should you have at a wedding???
Answer: As many as we can fit on the table!!
It’s a trend.
We know it.
We love it.
Our couples love it.
And we will keep doing it because it’s FUN!
And whimsical!
And no…. it does not get sticky or smelly or full of bees!
However, we would not use them outdoors at a summer wedding, I can promise you that! And we do recommend cutting citrus the day before to allow it to dry a bit.
Angelique and Caden selected great details with a ton of hot colors! Their tables with the great numbers, menu cards, orange voices and even colorful silk scarves were a party all by their selves, don’t you agree?

How are you going to make sure the band has arrived on time if you’re getting your hair finished? Who is going to get your dad in the perfect spot for his first look with you? Who’s going to run and meet your late night snack delivery from Grub Hub? Who’s going to pass out tips to vendors? Who is going to signal the trio to start the processional music…on time? Who will make sure all the vendors know their meals are ready? Who is going to call out names when it’s time for family photos? Or gather all the bouquets to be placed in the reception area so you and the bridesmaids don’t have to carry them around? Who’s going to light all the candles? Who is going to repurpose the florals from the ceremony to the reception? Who’s going to set out your card box, bar signs, family photos, table numbers, es**rt cards, and pop your dancing shoes under your sweetheart table?

Who is going to make sure every timely detail is thoughtfully created and implemented into the perfect cohesive moodboard, efficient floorplan and an organized timeline with room to breathe so you both can relax?

We are.

29 Things We Fixed at a Wedding That No One Noticed (…and That’s the Point):
1. Straightened the aisle using an extension cord because…geometry.
2. Chauffeured grandma and aunt who thought the shuttle was a 24/7 Uber.
3. Candle swap surgery when the MOB’s candles didn’t fit her candlesticks.
4. Scoped out every outlet and breaker in a barn the size of Costco.
5. Turned the bridal suite into a mini snack lounge.
6. Snuck in my husband as “traffic control” to save the grass from mud chaos.
7. Learned the secret path to the porta-potty plug. Yes, that’s a thing.
8. Bathroom patrol. All night. Glamorous stuff.
9. Found the band eating dinner…in the back of their truck.
10. Thanked every vendor like they’d just saved my life (some did).
11. Launched a full search for the MOB’s missing vintage treasure.
12. Personally greeted hotel shuttle guests like it was Disneyland.
13. Guided shuttles out of a driveway narrower than my patience.
14. Organized parking so guests wouldn’t be trapped forever.
15. Returned 40+ linens to 3 companies without mixing a single one. Olympic-level.
16. Supplied bartenders with construction-grade trash solutions. Industrial chic.
17. Picked up cocktail tables blown over by wind…again…and again…
18. Made the uplighting look perfect from every angle (including the weird ones).
19. Lit 100+ candles. Relit them. Relit them again. Wind 3, us 0.
20. Broke down florals like a botanical pit crew for guests to take home.
21. Bagged homemade treats and late-night snacks like wedding elves.
22. Cleaned the bridal suite and packed all the couple’s things neatly.
23. Updated every vendor on timing so no one arrived during speeches.
24. Tipped off the venue owner when deliveries were incoming.
25. Kept guests off the muddy grass like it was hot lava.
26. Made sure every shuttle left full—not lost.
27. Filled the band’s break area with snacks because hangry musicians are scary.
28. Directed cars into tidy rows so exit time didn’t look like a Black Friday parking lot.
29. Stayed smiling through it all, so it looked effortless

Things that make me happy:
A great new song, flowers from the garden and my dog at my feet.
Think of the three things that make you happy.
See if you are automatically smiling.
Even if only on the inside.

Sweetheart tables are one of my favorite moments to design with a couple. From the special chairs to the perfect linen…all the details can be such fun and really reflect the couple’s taste. Using elements from your ceremony space make repurposing easy and your table lush. Bring your cake over on a taller table and set it nearby, so it acts as decor and then when you cut your cake you are also likely standing near other pretty decor from your table! I love a 48” table to give you elbow room but also make you an intimate little space to enjoy your first meal together as a married couple. having the brides bouquet up there is instant decor but sometimes blocks your view so perhaps place it somewhere near your cake to enhance that vignette and just use candles at your table for a soft glow in pictures. and don’t be afraid to splurge in speci alty glassware or dishes just for the two of you to enjoy. Maybe even use one or two of your favorite scented votives to remind you to stay present and in the moment. LASTLY….peek under that sweetheart table and you are likely going to find your dancing shoes we hid underneath so you can discreetly change into them when the moment strikes you!

Did you ever meet someone who lights up every space they walk in?
And she finds the man who makes her do that?
That’s Hannah, and her man, Andrew.
Does this day give off classic movie vibes or what?

The city.
The day.
Caden is about to celebrate the love of his life, crowd surf, be toasted, dance with everyone who is important to him and have the Best. Damn. Night.

Sexy little bar set up, right?.
The best thing about these little details is there are no dates on them and they are neutral. So Maddie and Jake can use any leftover cocktail napkins, swizzle sticks, and even their matchbooks, for future celebrations!

It’s personal.
Creating your wedding begins with your invitation that shares with your guests…what they can look forward to.
The time and attention shows. Her brother, Adam, drew the save the date cupola art. Together they selected the wording and information. Her mom drew the shrub arbor from the herb garden, for the invitation. I am sure great care was taken to select the perfect stamps (am I right, Hannah?) because they are perfect.
And each and every save the date and invitation was tied with a sprig of flowers that immediately made you conjure up the image of Hannah and Kevin, sitting at their dining room table in DC preparing each one for their guests. The wax seals (I know) were a labor of love and look so pretty. Oh and the belly band? Seeded paper.
The love is all in the details and it’s a small hint of what’s to come…
