Two homecomings in one day is a lot of work, but it was so worth it. PSU Berks in the morning, Kutztown high school tonight.

So the high school…. I’ve known these kids since they were playing T ball with my son. I’ve watched them grow up. Damn am I that old?! 😂 Kutztown HS is the high school my son attends so I really wanted to make this HOCO great for him, his friends and the students. When we arrived, the administrators told us this group doesn’t really dance and is kinda low key. The word “meh” may have been used. 200 students. You can judge by the pictures and videos for yourself but we got booked for the next two years and they sent us home with chic fil-a Mac and cheese. I mean what better compliment is there than that lol?

Hit them with tons of quick mixes included a power half hour (ok like 20 minutes) of just banger after banger from every genre. My feet and ears hurt from a long day. 😎

2 QSC kw181 subs
2 EV ETK 18sp
Roland 707m
Shure mics
Flow 8 mixer
2 2 meter Pro X totems
2 Betopper LB 150 movers
4 Adj mega par LEDs
2 Adj UV wash bars

Another Hamburg Homecoming in the books! 🎧🔥

This was my second year DJing Hamburg, and once again, the students brought it. This administration is AWESOME. They understand that the music students want, although we play 💯 clean edits, can be a bit interesting…😂

The weather outside was pretty rough, but inside it was all heat and good vibes. The energy just kept building as the night went on, and we ended up with about 20 minutes of the craziest, fastest request quick mix marathons I’ve ever done to close the night. 😂

We went from Metallica to hip-hop to bachata and pretty much everything in between. We got in the favorite line dances, a few Pitbull line dances, and somehow managed to find something for just about everybody.

I’ll admit, I always leave wishing I could have worked in a little more country for my Hummels crew that was there. But with a crowd this big and this many different tastes, you just keep moving and try to hit something that everyone can enjoy.

And man, that crowd was HUGE and the energy was awesome.

Hamburg is always one of my favorite schools to DJ for(and ofc my Alma matter). Thanks to everyone who came out, danced, made requests, and helped make it such a great night.

Already looking forward to their prom! 🎶🔥

The myth: School dances are supposed to be awkward, boring, and barely anyone dances..
Let’s go ahead and retire that idea.

MYTH: School dances suck because students don’t dance.

REALITY: Students absolutely dance — when the DJ knows how to read the room, build the energy, and drop the right tracks at the right time.

Most “meh” school dances aren’t because of the students…
They’re because the entertainment wasn’t built for your*crowd.

At EKG DJ's, we specialize in school events that actually feel like events — high‑energy mixes, clean edits, interactive moments, and a vibe that keeps the gym packed instead of empty.

✨ Homecoming
✨ Winter formals
✨ Prom
✨ Middle school dances
✨ Pep rallies
✨ After‑parties

If your school is ready to ditch the myth and finally host a dance students talk about for weeks, we’re booking fall and spring dates now.

Let’s make your next school event the one that proves everyone wrong. 🎶💥

Success leaves a trail. Ours happens to be wearing fresh apparel.

As demand for EKG DJs continues to grow, our team has grown right alongside it. More events. More clients. More opportunities. And now, more branded apparel to represent the company behind the work (and maybe some extra for our supporters 😎).

Every detail matters when you're building a premium brand. From the quality of our service to the professionalism of our team, we believe excellence should be visible at every level.

We're not following the market. We're helping define it.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support EKG DJs as we raise the bar and continue our journey toward becoming the name people think of first for entertainment.
