Max & Kimmie are engaged! When we're at the beach, I always ask couples if they want to get in the water at the end of their session. I tell them there's no pressure. That it's just an option. And while that's true, when they say yes I always feel a little giddy! lol. This beautiful couple went all in with no towels but they didn't care. I love that attitude! Mr. & Mrs. Topps. Get you someone that looks at you the way these two look at each other 30 years in! What an incredible event to celebrate this gorgeous couple's milestone anniversary! I can't imagine a better way to commemorate 30 years than to renew their vows surrounded by the people sharing in the beautiful life they've built together. Gudemans take the beach. This beautiful family has grown up right along side mine. In the same little town. In fact now their son lives next door to my daughter. Our lives feel intertwined. And I like it that way:). I have taken their pictures over the years, but this was our first time at the beach together. Because we took these so close to Father's Day, there is a fun then and now at the end! What a difference 9 years makes! lol.

Zach & Mikayla are married! Mikayla is the most detail oriented bride I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She's also beautiful and extremely talented. She actually made her own wedding dress, veil, & Zach's tie. She used the buttons from her mother’s wedding dress 🥹 Her. Own. Wedding. Dress. Sorry, it just bears repeating! She knows what she likes. And she really likes her new husband, Zach. They wanted some romantic pictures during sunset. I think they nailed that! The whole day had an old school romantic feel. Congratulations Zach & Mikayla! Wishing you every good thing as you begin this next chapter!

There are beautiful brides. And then there is Maritza. Her new husband cleans up pretty well too;). It really is something about them as a couple. There is just a spark that you can see. I watched it light them from within all day. I knew after we did their engagement photos and she wanted to jump over him that this wedding would be an amazing wedding to photograph. I was not wrong. Persin Family. This family shoot was a year in the making. We tried this last year and then life got in the way. Then it was time for the girls to do senior pictures. But we finally made it on a super hot and muggy day. This beautiful family was all smiles. Even dad:). I think he was proud to show off all of his lovely ladies. As well he should be. Handing family. Sometimes I think it can be deceiving looking at family photoshoots on social media. The angelic sleeping newborn shots? You might have missed the crying, feeding, and diaper blowout between takes;). The beautiful family running down the beach? You might not know about the dad complaining the whole way there about having to do family pictures. And the siblings sweetly giving hugs to each other and their parents? You weren't there to see one of the parents chasing after the super sonic speedy toddler at the drop of a hat. Sometimes family pictures aren't as easy as the appear in the highlight reel. But I will always say this... It's. worth. it. Don't wait until the perfect day when everything aligns. There is already perfection in the chaos of family! That's where the beauty is.

Gafford family. This beautiful family brings their homemade quilts for photos gifted from other family members. And this year there was a beloved baby doll. I love knowing that these things will make them smile and "remember when" when their kids are driving their own cars or even when they have children of their own. Some say three's a crowd. But it's safe to say that this little additional is a very welcome and much anticipated 3rd. However, if you look through to the end, you might see a different kind of three. Also known as what happens when your best friend attends your maternity shoot as the photography assistant;).
