Some people come into your business as employees.

Some people come into your business as family.

Regan started with me as a Blye's Beauty at the end of her sophomore year of high school as part of the very first class of our revamped Ambassadress Program. What started as a student ambassador role quickly turned into so much more.

Over the years, she became our resident Prom Diva, helping countless girls find the perfect dress and making every appointment a little more fun. If you've ever met Regan, you probably understand why it's impossible not to love her. She's hardworking, smart, funny, creative, and somehow always willing to help with whatever crazy idea I came up with next.

And let's address the obvious... many of you genuinely thought Regan was my daughter. Maybe it's the dark hair. Maybe it's because she has spent so much time with me that she's started acting like me. Poor thing.

Through all the ups and downs of building this business, Regan never wavered. She hauled what felt like 900 pounds of dresses to fashion shows and photoshoots, helped create content, met me in Florida on spring break to film videos, perfected spray tans, made sure I actually ate during busy days, and contributed countless ideas that helped make Blye's what it is today.

We've laughed through bloopers, bonded over who-dunit documentaries and donuts, celebrated her high school graduation, and now I get to watch her begin her next adventure as she moves to Indianapolis.

While I couldn't be more excited for what's ahead, today is also a little bittersweet. Regan, thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, your creativity, your willingness to jump in wherever needed, and for helping me build something special. You have been so much more than an employee.

You will be greatly missed around here.

If you're downtown today, stop in and help us send Regan off with lots of well wishes. And if you can't make it to the shop, be sure to stop by her KRA-Z Donuts booth at the Strawberry Festival and show her some love.

Buuuuuttttttt ..... If you're planning to park in the lot across from the Central Middle School, don't. We're sharing the day with the Kokomo High School graduation and they'll need those spots. We know the shortcakes are tempting, but probably not tempting enough to explain to a graduate's grandma why you took her parking spot.

So check out the other available lots and give a big ole shout-out to any of the graduates you're lucky enough to see! Way to go, Class of 2026!
