Located on the banks of Bluegrass Lake in West Knoxville, The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm offers 6,000 sq ft of heated and cooled event space with beautifully designed bride and groom suites, a caterer's kitchen, and the ability to open its glass walls for a more open-air feel. Our deck boasts a full brick fireplace, outdoor bar and comfortable furniture, while a nearby patio offers an outdoor

dining option. The beach, located just steps from the building, is complete with gorgeous white sand and a strolling boardwalk to the Amphitheater. The outdoor Amphitheater is where you will find bench seating for up to 350 guests tucked away on the hillside and a paver aisle located right on the water, perfect for a ceremony, concert, or meeting space. We offer day-of event coordination, in-house floral and event design, and fully customizable packages.

Meet Maddie — our new Assistant Venue Manager!✨

If you’ve planned a wedding with us in the past few years, you probably already know and love Maddie as one of our Event Coordinators. She’s been a huge part of so many special days, and we’re beyond excited to see her step into this new role!

In her new role, Maddie will be doing all the things — giving venue tours, helping with planning and design, and still jumping in to coordinate some of your big days (because let’s be real, we can’t keep her away from a good dance floor or grand exit!).

Weddings are truly her favorite — and when you ask her why, she’ll tell you it’s all about the little details. The personal touches, the special moments, the meaningful traditions… she loves getting to know each couple and bringing their love story to life. And trust us, Maddie knows the wedding world like the back of her hand. She’s done it all — from bridal makeup artist and florist to event staff and lead coordinator — she brings so much heart and experience to every event.

Outside of work, Maddie’s world revolves around her high school sweetheart turned husband and their three sweet (and wild!) boys. Whether they’re running around town for sports or cuddled up watching football (Go Vols and Who Dey!), family time is her favorite time.

We’re so lucky to have Maddie’s warmth, creativity, and expertise on our team — and we know you’re going to love working with her as much as we do!

Hi there! I’m Diana Hicks, the Venue Manager at The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm, and I’ve been living my dream in the wedding and event world for the past five years. There’s nothing I love more than helping clients bring their vision to life—especially when it involves color! Bold florals, vibrant décor, unique details—I’m here for it all.

I’ve managed several venues, but The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm has always held a special place in my heart. Working here is truly a dream come true, and I feel so honored to be part of such a beautiful and special place. Not only do I get to plan incredible events, but I also love the business side of things, so I really do get the best of both worlds.

When I’m not orchestrating weddings and events, I’m spending time with my amazing husband and our seven kids (yes, seven!). We love camping by the lake, traveling to new cities, and making as many memories as possible.

MEET NANCY ✨

The fearless leader behind Barger Concepts, LLC, Nancy is a trailblazer in the event industry, a dedicated community leader, and a true powerhouse when it comes to bringing people together. As the owner of The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm and Tallulah’s, she has spent over a decade creating unforgettable events and experiences.

Nancy’s journey started right here in Knoxville, where she grew up at Hunter Valley Farm competing in equestrian events. She carried that passion to Auburn University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management and Operations while riding as an Open Seat competitor and even coaching the Auburn University Equestrian Team! After years as a corporate pilot, she pivoted her career and opened The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm in 2008, turning it into one of Knoxville’s premier event venues.

But she doesn’t stop there! Nancy is also:
✨ A morning show host on WIVK Knoxville alongside Joey Tack
✨ An Adjunct Professor & Industry Expert at UTK, teaching Advanced Event Planning and Design
✨ A 2018 Leadership Knoxville graduate and 2016 Introduction Knoxville participant
✨ A two-time chair of the Go Red for Women campaign for the American Heart Association
✨ Alumni Chair for Leadership Knoxville
✨ A Commissioner with Knoxville/Knox County Planning Commission
✨ A member of the Joint Economic & Community Development Board of Knox County
✨ A passionate volunteer, giving her time and event space to numerous local charities

When she’s not making magic happen in the event world or on the radio, Nancy loves spending time with her husband Matt (her best friend and fellow Cubs fanatic!), their four amazing kids, and their two precious pups.

From high-energy event planning to community impact, Nancy does it all with passion, precision, and a little sparkle! Let’s hear it for Nancy!!✨

Our Story

The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm opened its doors in May of 2008. Nestled on fifty-seven pristine acres, The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm is a local lakefront beauty. Located in the heart of West Knoxville, our 6,000 square foot glass-enclosed pavilion offers unlimited possibilities for any event. It features 4,800 square feet of heated and cooled open floor space, oversized restrooms with dressing areas, and a spacious caterer’s kitchen. Our large deck overlooks beautiful Bluegrass Lake and is used for additional seating. We also have a gorgeous white sand beach complete that may be used for any type of party or wedding. It has a large seating capacity for ceremonies, cocktail hours, rehearsal dinners, luaus, or just a fun beach party! The Pavilion offers hands-on service, available to coordinate all functions and even direct wedding ceremonies. We also offer on-site floral and event design services. We invite you to use outside vendors or choose from a wide variety of vendors we have personally worked with.
