Two fun facts you might not know about me and my photography business!
Fun fact #1: My husband is also my second shooter!
For many of my weddings over the last several years, my husband has been right there alongside me, camera in hand, and he has been an absolute lifesaver!
This wedding was the perfect example of why I love having him there. While I was capturing one perspective, he was getting beautiful shots from angles and locations I simply couldn’t be in at the same time. Having that extra set of eyes (and another camera!) makes such a difference!
Fun fact #2: I don’t use zoom lenses!
Believe it or not, throughout my nearly 12 years as a photographer, I’ve exclusively photographed with prime lenses! Maybe that will change someday, but I’ve always preferred them.
That means my zoom is quite literally my feet. 😂 And when my husband joins me, it’s his feet, too!
One of my favorite parts of this journey is that we’ve learned so much alongside each other. We’ve spent countless hours shopping for cameras, comparing lenses, researching gear and technology, building computers, and figuring things out together over the years.
While photography is my business, he’s been such a wonderful part of the journey, especially when it comes to weddings.
