We love a good Sunday slowdown, but we also like to spend a little bit of time preparing for the week to come, which makes today a perfect time to talk about why ordering ahead is a good idea!

While we can get flowers in from our wholesalers 6 days a week, selection is better at the beginning of the week. And, just because we can get flowers, doesn’t mean we will be able to get exactly what you want!

To avoid substitutions, it’s a good idea to order ahead. If you know you are going to send flowers to your friend for her birthday on Thursday, order ahead! If we don’t have exactly what you want, we have a better chance to get it the more time we have!

We are honored to share a few cute items we got in this week and even more happy to share a little about their creator.

We added these custom made bird houses. The details are SO cute and their creator, our new friend Mr. Robert Briones is just the coolest guy.

Mr. Briones and his sweet wife Lydia are new to town from Austin, Texas. Besides his adorable, whimsical birdhouses, he also builds potting benches, pie safes, and a variety of other custom, upcyled wood pieces.

One thing that made the answer to his question “would you be interested in selling my creations?” an immediate yes Is that Mr. Briones is a United States military veteran. We love and support our vets.

We have a couple more of his custom pieces to share, but if you’re a bird house collector, stop in and see these cuties in person! 😍

🌻 It's sunflower season... and we're here for every golden petal!
Did you know young sunflowers actually follow the sun across the sky? This process, called heliotropism, helps them soak up as much sunlight as possible while they're growing. Once they mature, they usually face east to greet the morning sun. ☀️

No wonder they're known as the happiest flower!
