Dolly Parton’s impact on East Tennessee reaches far beyond music. Through her generosity, advocacy for literacy, and lifelong commitment to giving back, she strengthened our communities and opened doors for generations of families in our area.

Her legacy will always be part of the place she called home. Thank you, Dolly, for everything. 🤍

East Tennessee doesn’t feel the same tonight. 💔

We have been waiting to announce that this week, Lil Man’s is honored to serve at the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital Jubilee, commemorating the renaming of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in her honor.

We were holding onto the hope that our announcement would come with a photograph of Lil Man and Dolly together—two East Tennessee dreamers, generations apart, both working to change Tennessee through kindness, community and a love for children.

While we knew Dolly had been battling health concerns, nothing could have prepared us for today’s heartbreaking news. Tomorrow will look and feel completely different from what we imagined. What was meant to be a joyful celebration about her and with her will now also be a day of remembrance, grief , honoring her beautiful life and the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind.

We are heartbroken, but deeply honored to be part of such a meaningful day. Dolly changed East Tennessee—and the world—with her generosity, faith, determination and enormous heart.

Rest peacefully, Queen Dolly Parton. Our mountains—and our hearts—will never be the same. 🦋💗
