1. Remove any and all foliage/leaves below the water line. Keep blooms and leaves out of the water to keep your water as clean as possible.

2. Trim those ends every few days. It really helps the stems soak up as much water as your flowers need. Soak in water all day can get them soggy and a fresh snip every few days really helps them out. And while you’re at it give them a fresh drink of water too! Fresh water keeps everyone hydrated and happy.

3. Keeping your lovely blooms out of direct sunlight. Harsh, hot, direct sun is just too much for them and can leave them wilty and sad.

4. And the pets… my cat loves snacking on flowers and plants and the flowers do not love that. BUT also some flowers can have toxic aspects that can be harmful to your pets. So it’s just all around a good idea for everyone to avoid pets munching on your flowers.

One of my dearest friends was just affirming my inner artist and I felt so seen. After years of being placed in all the administrative, organizational, system building boxes that never actually resonated with me. I was like, YES!!
Well I suppose I accidentally embraced that encouragement a little extra hard today 😂 but hey I’ve been wondering what it would look like to paint the garage floor. So there’s that!

Because yes, I could have designed and ordered new parade banners but why would I do that when I could design and paint them (in all my non existent spare-business owning, mom-time in the middle of the night while my kids sleep #). 👩🏼‍🎨
