For all of those wondering about my schooling, I did have to unenroll in the cosmetology program. The cost and time commitments were unable to be aligned with my abilities. HOWEVER. Instead of quitting school completely. I was able to find and re-declare a major that will not only benefit my current business but also give me access to a huge variety of opportunities for the future. I am now halfway through my first term going for an Associates in Business Management and Marketing, and I will also be having a focus on Accounting. I absolutely love it so far and am super excited to continue💕 Thankyou for the support and love 💖

For those of you who don’t know, the past few years have been a series of challenges for my family. We’ve been rebuilding after the Golden Fire, and when our son Jason was born, he faced serious challenges from the start—arriving with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice and developing RSV at just three weeks old. We have also had some of our own health challenges. Michael works hard, but being on a one income household while I stay home with the littles has spread our funds pretty thin.

I decided to finally start to pursue my dream of cosmetology because I was told it would be covered by financial aid. I am working toward my Associate of Applied Science in Cosmetology and have maintained a 3.8 GPA.

My goal is to open a disability and sensory friendly salon space where those who may not be able to practice that type of self care regularly can come to get help.

Now, after completing my first term, I’ve been told I will need to pay $2,500 out of pocket per term (about $900 per month) to continue starting on the 30th. I’ve searched and applied for grants and scholarships without success.

I’m asking for help so I don’t have to walk away from this goal. Any support or even sharing this means everything and helps me keep going toward a more stable future for my family and the ability to give back to others in the community. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read and support.
