🎄 IMPORTANT (and mildly festive) ANNOUNCEMENT 🎄

The Festival of Trees is sadly coming to an end. Yes, we know… cue the tiny violin. 🎻

By January 11th, all trees must be fully undecorated—that means ornaments, lights, tinsel, and whatever mysterious item you added at 2 a.m. in the name of “festive vibes.”

🚛 January 12th: The Great Tree Eviction begins. Any decorations still hanging on will be officially reclassified as donations to the void and discarded without mercy.

🌲 BONUS ROUND:
Once the trees are uninstalled and relaxing curbside, they’re free for the taking!
Perfect for:
• Wildlife condos 🦌🐰
• Pond décor (now with extra pine flavor) 🐟
• Or a completely harmless, absolutely hilarious prank on your mother-in-law* 😇

We do have someone lined up to dispose of all trees, but if you see one lying on its side looking lonely, feel free to give it a new purpose.

🎄 Kittanning’s Annual Holiday Parade is Back! 🎄

Join us on Friday, December 5th at 6:30 PM for a magical night as we kick off the holiday season!

🎅✨ This year’s parade, proudly sponsored by Nemchek Heating and Cooling , will travel through the streets of Kittanning Borough, bringing the celebration right to your neighborhood. Enjoy festive floats, trucks, holiday music, and of course—Santa Claus himself!

Kittanning, get ready — Santa is returning to our downtown streets in just 7 days! He’ll be waving from his festive float as he weaves through town, proudly pulled by our Parade Sponsor, Nemchek Heating and Cooling ❄️❤️

We’re inviting all local businesses and non-profits to join the magic! Tag your favorite business owners In the comments to encorage them to participate!

📍 Meet on Market Street at 5:00 PM to line up and participate with your floats!
✨ Elves, costumes, holiday spirit — all encouraged!
🚫 Just one rule: No duplicate Santas so the big guy can keep his spotlight.

🎄 FREE CHRISTMAS TREES!! 🎄
 Update: as of 4:15 PM, all of the trees are gone.

Our committee has six Hardy Bluespruce Christmas trees left over from our event this past weekend, and these beauties are looking for a good home! If you—or someone you know—needs a tree, come snag one!

🎁 First come, first serve
📍 Find them hanging out beside the Santa Shed in the Rosebud Lot (corner of Market Street & N. Grant Ave).
They’re standing there quietly… judging no one… waiting to fulfill their holiday destiny.

A couple friendly tree-care reminders:
✂️ Give the trunk a fresh trim—cut 1–2 inches off the bottom before placing it in the stand.
💧 Keep her very hydrated for the first couple days. These gals have been cut for a few weeks and are thirsty.

Come grab a tree and make someone’s Christmas a little brighter! ⭐

Andrea Cessna was the lucky winner of a brand-new e-bike, purchased from The Bike Lab in Kittanning. Because Andrea was present for the drawing, she also took home an additional $250 in cash!

This year’s theme was Vintage Christmas, and our local businesses absolutely brought the nostalgia. From classic holiday charm to true old-fashioned magic, every display was a joy to see.

2025 Festivities in the Streets was an incredible success! This was our largest turnout ever — with estimates reaching nearly 10,000 people filling the streets. What a truly amazing evening full of energy, community, and celebration!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night unforgettable. Mark your calendars — we’ll do it all again next year on Saturday, November 21, 2026!

Our final, updated Festivities in the Streets map is here! Bigger, better, and loaded with everything you need to plan your perfect night!

📍 Roads will close at NOON for vendor & activity setup
🎉 Event runs 3PM–8PM
✨ Fireworks at 7 PM AND 8 PM
🐴 Hayrides, petting zoo, kids activities, food court, shopping, Santa, and more!

This year’s event has grown once again, and we’re excited to bring you the most packed lineup of vendors, activities, and holiday fun we’ve ever had.
