Every year, I have a favorite (new to me) viola. This year, it’s Penny Marina. Seed from

Tulip season has finally arrived here in our gardens! Now that we have had a little sun and some warmth. Grew a small handful of tulips based on the color palettes of our May brides: Belle Epoque, Mount Tacoma, Charming Beauty, Dreamer, and a pink parrot. These aren’t your grocery store tulips!

We grow for weddings + wholesale, so the work is hands-on and fast-paced: seeding, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, harvesting and a bit of record keeping.
📍Kingston greenhouse/gardens + Carver farm
💪🏻 Must be able to lift 50 lbs
🌱 Expect, dirt, weather and working on your feet.
It’s not easy work, but the views are good and the free flowers don’t hurt.

These are some hard won hellebores. Three years in the ground to finally get a good harvest. I almost didn’t want to cut them, as they’ve become so precious to me. Took me a week to screw up the courage, walking by them every day, inspecting each bloom…but I finally cut them yesterday. And I didn’t faint. Damn, they are so good.

Grew a shorter, bedding variety of ranunculus this year called ‘Magic.’ Couldn’t agree more. Available this week and in our greenhouse in Kingston Ma. DM for info. Perfect for planters and window boxes. And can tolerate our near freezing temps!
