Poplar Springs Cemetery Decoration Day & Homecoming Potluck Dinner
Next Sunday – June 1st at 12:30 PM
Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 415 Poplar Springs Rd, Kingston, TN 37763
It’s almost time again for a beloved tradition that brings us together across generations. Decoration Day and our Homecoming Potluck Dinner will be held next Sunday, June 1st, at 12:30 p.m. (not this Sunday, but the next). As always, we meet on the first Sunday in June to honor our loved ones, care for their final resting place, and reconnect as a community in the peaceful country setting of Poplar Springs Cemetery, beside Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend the church service at 11:00 a.m., followed by our potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish to share. It’s a time of food, fellowship, and remembering those who’ve gone before us.
We didn’t send out donation request letters this year due to rising stamp costs, but your support is still vital. With mowing season underway, now is a great time to bring fresh flowers and help beautify the cemetery. We’re deeply grateful to the volunteers, the committee, and our mowing crew who work hard to keep the grounds cared for throughout the year.
A financial report will be shared at the meal to ensure transparency, and if you’re unable to attend but would like to contribute to ongoing maintenance, donations can be mailed to:
Poplar Springs Cemetery
430 Dogwood Valley Road
Kingston, TN 37763
Please make checks payable to Poplar Springs Cemetery. Contributions from extended family members are also welcome and appreciated.
Please share this invitation and help us reach everyone connected to Poplar Springs. If you recognize your family name below, or know someone who should be included, please tag or notify them. All are welcome.

There are many, many more families who are part of this special place. If you know others, please share them here in the comments. We’d love to know who else is connected and keep this tradition going strong for years to come.
