NY-USAW extends our congratulations to General Brown lightweight star, ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐, on finalizing her collegiate plans earlier this morning when signed to Edinboro University at a special school ceremony!!!
Hailing from one of the finest wrestling families in Section III history ; it is no minor achievement when we say that she surpassed the immense success enjoyed by her father, ๐
๐ค๐ (3x NYSPHSAA State Bronze Medalist during stops at Indian River and Watertown)!
A "Golden-13 member" (those women that claimed titles at the inaugural NYSPHSAA Invitational in 2023) as a freshman 94-pounder; the Lion turned newest Fighting Scot would be a mainstay on the podium in either Syracuse or Albany; as she'd add runner-up finishes in 2024 (94 pounds) and 2026 (100 pounds), sandwiched around a top-4 showing as a junior!
The owner of a 13-4 resume in her cited four straight trips to the State tourney; to put in perspective just how good one needed to be in order to defeat her; it needs to be noted that three of these losses came at the hands of current nationally ranked titlists in the persons of ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง (Current #1 in the nation; 2x State finalist/2024 Champion; 2026 Fargo 16U National Runner-up; 2023 U15 Pan-American Gold Medalist, etc), ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฒ ( #9 ranked in the land; 2025 State Champion; 2026 USAW Girls Nationals 14U National Champion), and ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐จ ( #12 in the polls; 3x State finalist/2026 titlist; 2025 Fargo Blood Rounder)...
She had previously beaten Brucato to seize the hardware at the 2025 Canandaigua Revolution!!
Spending the entirety of her scholastic career testing herself against both top male and female rivals; A true testament to her "pound-for-pound" abilities; during her lone title-capturing campaign; Jewett would actually sweep a pair of matches against 3x DII State Boys finalist/2x champ, ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐จ!
As part of runner-up efforts at the 2024 Eastern States Classic and the 2025 Dame of Thrones, she'd sweep a pair of head-to-head match-ups over ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฑ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ (2x State placer/2026 Queen), of Eastchester!)!
In the midst of her swan song this past winter, she notched another marquee dub at thet the expense of ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ (2025 State runner-up for Shaker)!
Her calling card nationally transpired in the summer of 2022 when she'd venture to Fargo and emerge with a 5th-place finish among her 16U peers!!
