Well… the glitter has settled. Kind of. 😂✨
My house looks like Bingo Squad exploded in it. There is glitter EVERYWHERE, including places glitter has absolutely no business being. Our vehicles are still packed with bingo supplies because apparently they don’t unload themselves. My feet are still feeling every single step of event day, I finally caught up on some desperately needed sleep, and after basically working the night shift for the last week, I’m attempting to become a daytime human again. 😂
And GOOD NEWS… my voice is making a comeback! 🎤🙌
But sitting here surrounded by the aftermath, all I can think is how incredibly full my heart is. ❤️
I know I may not have had the opportunity to stop and have a conversation with all of you. Event day has me running in 47 directions at once, and sometimes I barely get more than a hug, a wave or a quick hello. Please know that I saw you. I appreciated you being there, and your support did not go unnoticed. ❤️
To every single person who walked through those doors, THANK YOU. You played Bingo, bought raffles, supported our vendors, dressed up, laughed, sang, danced and embraced all the craziness that makes a Bingo Squad Event what it is. But most importantly, you helped us continue something incredibly special to our family: honoring Joanne and carrying her legacy forward.
A HUGE and heartfelt thank you to Diane Bidwell for once again donating beautiful Creekside Grove for our event. ❤️ Diane, your generosity gave us the perfect place to bring everyone together to celebrate Joanne, and I can never adequately thank you for what you've done for our family and this foundation.
To the SCCTC Cosmetology Department, thank you for joining us and supporting the very reason behind Big Hair Bigger Dreams. Having you there made the day even more meaningful.
And to our 2026 Adult Scholarship recipient, Rachel Stento, thank you for joining us. ❤️ Seeing someone this scholarship was created to support sitting in that room is the reminder of WHY we do all of this.
And then there were Joanne’s former Hair Zoo employees. ❤️
Seeing so many of you come out to support our cause and honor Joanne meant more than I could ever put into a Facebook post. You shared a piece of her life, her career and something she was incredibly proud of. Having you together again, this time in her honor, was pretty damn special.
There are moments during the weeks leading up to these events when I seriously question my life choices. 😂 The sleepless nights, the lists on top of lists, the running, the last-minute changes and the inevitable “WHAT DID I FORGET?!”
Then event day happens.
I look around that room and see people laughing, having FUN, supporting each other and helping us turn the memory of someone we loved so deeply into an opportunity for someone else's future.
And THAT is why we do it. ❤️
Another Big Hair Bigger Dreams is officially in the books.
My feet hurt.
My voice is questionable.
My house is trashed.
The vehicles are still loaded.
And I’m fairly certain we’ll be finding glitter until 2034. 😂✨
But OUR HEARTS ARE FULL.
From our family and the Joanne Resseguie-Decker Foundation, thank you for showing up, supporting our mission, honoring Joanne with us and making another Bingo Squad event one we will never forget. 💕✂️
Joanne would have absolutely loved seeing that room. ❤️
