ABOUT TRENDS:
In this case... the much loved by brides, n**e sheer inset at cleavages and side seams.
I find it becomes easy for makers to duplicate trends, not realising that the very description of our role suggests translation as opposed to duplication.
And no, I'm not exempt I nearly did the same.
Since leaving Georgia where much of my work was client-led, to becoming someone with a point of view, my goal is to translate.
Pictured is a snippet of my current custom bridal gown.
Glad I took the leap and remembered that being a maker and designer is to innovate. And most of all, that my bride loves it.
Do you have a favourite trend you'd prefer to be duplicated?
