With Mother's Day fast approaching, (next Sunday!!), lots of you will be ordering flowers (awesome!! 🌹🌻🌼) & most of you love supporting small businesses (thank you!! 🤗)!! With that being said, lemme help YOU get the most value for your money!!
First: CALL your local florist(s) directly to place your orders over the phone & do it NOW, especially if there's a particular flower you want!! Most florists are very small & placing an order now, pretty much guarantees you're going to get what you want. Also, calling directly keeps you from over paying, bcuz there's no 'middle man' or minimums that need to be met online!! (Less people involved = less money that you're spending!)
For those of you insisting on doing it 'your' way, the following 'flower shops' are actually call centers that take your order & money & send us a portion of that money to do the work. (Either way, your flowers are coming from the same place!! 🤷♀️) HOWEVER, due to online minimums, you may have your order rejected & not delivered at all!!

WHEN YOU GO ONLINE AND ORDER FLOWERS FROM ANY FLOWER ORDER GATHERING SITEs LIKE: From you Flowers, 800 flowers, FTD, TeleFlora, AVAS, Florist one, or any other non-brick and mortar store (one without a local address) You are over paying!!!! First, more than likely pay a processing charge of up to $20, your order then still comes to the local florist to fill and the sending entity keeps 30% of your money. Also the tax you pay when you order online goes to the receiving state, but not the local county where the order is sent.
So let’s see how that plays out: Example: You place an order for a $100 arrangement, an additional delivery charge is applied, that does come to your local shop if we are lucky, generally we have to request delivery funds, Our local delivery charge is $12.50…. so now you’ve spent $112.50, add the $20 processing fee and now you’re up to $132.50 and you still need to add on tax. The order is then sent to us, your local brick and mortar store. We generally receive the original $100 order that you have spent and the order gathering site keeps the delivery charge. because we have no idea what you spent on the arrangement and delivery, unless it is a nationally advertised price that we can verify. We then have to ask for the delivery charge if it’s an advertised price, they never automatically send those funds. After all is said and done and we do actually get the $112.50 on paper from the order gatherer, our shop actually only gets $78.75 because they get to keep 30% of that order. Our order processing statements run in 30 day cycles, so that if you sent the order on the first day of a month, that statement does not close until the last day of the month. We then in turn have to wait until the 25th of the next month to be paid for that order! In summary, you have spent $132.50 plus tax, get $78.75 worth of arrangement and delivery, no tax revenue for your local government and your local florist has to wait up to 55 days to receive any funds for the money you spent to send that special arrangement. And oh by the way, the order gathering site got $53.75 and didn’t have to do anything except electronically forward your order. So are you pleased with where your money went???? Look like a good split to you??
Oh, and I didn’t mention, we do have to pay monthly fees in addition to the30% we already lose to be members of Wire services that cater to order gathering sites!
Thanks for taking time to check this out, and remember, if you want to send flowers, use a brick and mortar shop in the town that you are sending flowers! You’re probably already on the internet and they probably have a website of their own that you can use to place your order! They will appreciate the much needed cash flow that is needed to pay the rent and the employees!!! And you’ll get so much more for your money!!

Ordered flowers for my mom’s birthday. Gave them a price range and a color, and they nailed it! I’m in Georgia and I couldn’t have asked for anything better if I’d picked it out in person. My mom was thrilled.
