Kara, our wonderful Organizational Management Director, is celebrating an incredible 17 years with A-mazing Events!🎉

Whether she's acting as an extension of a-mazing teams, orchestrating unforgettable events, or keeping clients at the heart of everything she does—Kara brings adaptability, heart, and purpose to every project.

We asked Kara some questions about her role, her time at
A-mazing events, and more.

What is Organizational Management?
Organization management is about flexibility and being solutions-focused, built to meet organizations where they are. With our "on-demand" services, we can jump in and support a wide variety of needs, whether it's project-based, strategic support, or day-to-day operations. If you need it, chances are, we can help make it happen!

Favorite part of leading our Organizational Management team?
Acting as an extension of some truly amazing teams. There's something gratifying about partnering with organizations that welcome me in and treat me like one of their own—it makes the work feel more collaborative, more connected, and a lot more fun!

Favorite event?
One standout experience was Strive to Thrive Week with Imagine Fox Cities. A-mazing Events helped to coordinate 27 events across the Fox Valley, each designed to highlight one of the four pillars of belonging. From inspiring speakers to unique venues and engaging topics, the entire week was a dynamic celebration of connection, community, and purpose. It was incredible to see so many people come together in such meaningful ways!

Any lessons or advice?
Take a deep breath and stay calm—especially when things get hectic (and they will!). In this line of work, adaptability is key, but what grounds me is always keeping the client at the center of everything I do. When your focus is on creating the best possible experience for them, the rest tends to fall into place.

People are often curious about where I work—since they've seen me in so many different organizations and roles over the years! The truth is, I've been incredibly lucky to build strong connections across the community over the past 17 years, and each experience has added something meaningful to my journey. It's one of the things I love most about what I do!

A-mazing News! 🎉🌟

Join us in welcoming Alex Shannon as our newest Project Coordinator and Jen Verstegen, our Event Support & Logistics Coordinator!

Alex joins us as a Project Coordinator with a dual role supporting both our Events and Organizational Management divisions. In the Events Division, she will help bring our clients’ event visions to life—assisting with every phase from pre-planning to day-of ex*****on and post-event wrap-up. In the Organizational Management Division, Alex will oversee the smooth, day-to-day operations of multiple client accounts, ensuring projects stay on track and clients receive exceptional support.

Jen will play a key role on our operations team—overseeing warehouse organization, managing inventory, and packing equipment and materials, as well as providing on-site support. She’ll ensure everything is event-ready, helping us stay organized and fully prepared for every occasion.

We’re excited to have Jen and Alex on the A-mazing Events team and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make.

From behind-the-scenes guided tours and kid’s games to delicious food trucks, a photo booth, and endless family fun — it was a true celebration of innovation, growth, and connection.

Meet Mary – the friendly face and organized force behind the scenes at A-mazing Events! She keeps our office running like clockwork, managing supplies, supporting the team, and ensuring every guest feels welcome. From handling calls and mailings to prepping event materials and keeping things tidy, Mary’s attention to detail and proactive spirit help make every day—and every event—a success.

Mary finds fulfillment in supporting others wherever needed and enjoys taking on new challenges. Being part of the operations team is especially rewarding—we work collaboratively, communicate openly, and truly function as a team, making every day both productive and positive. Although she can be shy, the A-mazing Events team has definitely brought Mary out of her shell!
