We knew this one might get mixed reactions.
For the 51st Annual Retiree Appreciation Day, one of our AI experiences placed guests into a Declaration of Independence-inspired scene, complete with colonial-era clothing.
And yes, we knew that period of American history could make this particular transformation uncomfortable for some guests. In fact, one guest told us very clearly that it did.
We respected that.
We re-created the guest's image using our superhero and eagle experience instead and made sure they received a photo they could actually enjoy.
For most retirees who chose the Declaration experience, though, the response was excitement. They laughed, compared their transformations, and especially enjoyed seeing themselves dressed in colonial clothing. 🇺🇸😂
That experience reminded us of something important as we continue creating with AI.
Not every experience will be for every person, and that's okay. Give people choices. Listen when they tell you something isn't for them. And make sure everyone still has an opportunity to have some fun.
These retirees definitely did. 💜
