This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in service to the United States.

For many families, Memorial Day is not just a long weekend — it is deeply personal. It is a day filled with remembrance, reflection, grief, pride, and gratitude for loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The holiday traces back to the years following the Civil War, when communities came together to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers. More than a century later, that tradition of remembrance continues.

Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor those whose sacrifices are woven into the history of this country.

Today we recognize National Missing Children’s Day.

Created in 1983 in memory of Adam Walsh, this day honors missing children across the country and acknowledges the ongoing efforts to protect children, support families, and bring the missing home.

For many families, this day carries deep emotional weight. It represents birthdays missed, milestones paused, and years spent searching for answers while refusing to let their loved one be forgotten.

It is also a day to recognize the power of awareness, collaboration, and community. From advocates and nonprofits to investigators, media professionals, and everyday citizens — it often takes people continuing to care, share, and speak up to keep cases alive.

Today, we remember the missing and stand with the families still searching.

AdvocacyCon exists for one reason: to bring support, resources, and community to families of the missing and those with unsolved cases. Someone tried to throw shade on that today. It didn’t land. 😄 We’re too busy doing the work. Thank you to everyone who shows up, you’re the whole point. 💙
