🌸 A little sunshine for your Saturday!

It’s World Mental Health Day, and sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference.

Fresh flowers on the counter. A little sunshine. Jumping in puddles. Or a cat who thinks everything you bring into the house needs their approval. 🐈

Flowers won’t fix everything, but they sure can brighten a day. 💐

The Flowers on First stand is OPEN until 3 PM today!

Stop by, grab yourself some flowers, or surprise someone who could use a little pick-me-up.

Because you don’t need a special occasion to make someone’s day. 💜

Four years ago today. ❤️

This picture popped up today, and this one gets me a little.

Four years ago, on our anniversary, I was being flown to the cardiac ICU. At the same time, I was being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I could barely walk. I could barely use my hands. And honestly, I wasn’t sure what my life was going to look like — or if I was going to be here four years later.

Today we’re celebrating 18 years of marriage.

And after the summer I’ve had, I keep thinking about those hands I could barely use four years ago.

They planted. They weeded. They cut thousands of flowers. They made bouquets and corsages. They hauled more buckets than I care to count. 😂 They helped me build this little thing called Flowers on First.

Four years ago, I never could have imagined any of this.

So this isn’t really a flower post. It’s just me looking at this picture today and feeling pretty damn grateful for what my body can do, for the life I get to live, and for the guy who is still beside me 18 years later.

And maybe I’m a little proud of her, too. ❤️

Send me a dress photo and I can coordinate the flowers to your colors.
