✨💛 UPDATE — and from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU 💛✨
Since sharing this message, we have already had so many people reach out regarding the Christmas tree lighting and helping in the years moving forward. The outpouring of support has been incredible.
What we would love to do is set this up on an annual basis, with a different group, organization, or business taking responsibility each year—keeping the tradition alive while sharing the joy (and the work) throughout our community.
As the saying goes, “You have not because you ask not.”
Well… here we are. And look at you all. ❤️🍎
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

💛 A Heartfelt Message from Christmas in the Village 🎄
We want to take a moment to speak openly, kindly, and with love for our village. 🍎
The lighting of the Christmas tree on the village square is deeply meaningful to so many in Apple Creek. It represents tradition, togetherness, and the shared love we all have for the Christmas season. We truly understand the disappointment felt when that didn’t happen this year.
We want to clarify—gently and transparently—that the lighting of the village Christmas tree has never been the responsibility of Christmas in the Village. We have never overseen or managed that portion of the event, nor were we made aware that it had become our responsibility.
That being said… what matters most isn’t whose job it was. What matters is our village and the traditions we cherish. ❤️🙏🏼
Rather than pointing fingers or placing blame, we would love to turn this into an opportunity for unity and collaboration. We are actively seeking a group or organization who would like to take this on as an annual community service project moving forward.
✨ Scouts
✨ Service organizations
✨ Local businesses
✨ A group of neighbors
✨ Anyone with a heart for Apple Creek
We would also love for the community to come together to help—whether that’s purchasing decorations, donating decorations, or lending time and talents—to continue beautifying our downtown and keeping this tradition alive for generations to come.
Let’s rally together and make sure this never happens again—not through frustration, but through teamwork. 🤝
We love this village. We love its traditions. And most of all, we love all of you.
If you or your group would like to help lead this effort, please reach out. Let’s make something beautiful—together. 🎄✨
