Taking their love for boating & fishing and incorporating it into their wedding 👌

C & J asked us to provide DJ service for their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as a portrait artist at their Key West wedding at Ocean's Edge Resort & Marina.

What's so great about our portrait artist is that all of your guests have a gift to take back home with them that is both handmade and unique to the Keys. Sean is famously known for his 5-min portrait sessions down at Mallory Square and grateful to have him a part of our team for private events.

Will there be kids at your private event? Let's make it a memorable experience for them, too!

This little guy was giving me those, "hey, can I try" eyes, so I couldn't help but get him behind the DJ booth and make him feeling like a superstar. I showed him what button press and once I got everyone cheering for him, he hit that button with so much confidence and stole the show.

It's moments like these that we remember and cherish 😊

Little did I know, an hour into this corporate event, a storm bringing 52mph winds was going to blow my DJ booth away from me. I caught it just before it fell over.

We managed to bring the party inside within 20min cause we’re all a bunch of pros and this ain’t our first outdoor rodeo 🤠

Another incredible night cruising down the Chicago River with some of the best event pros & concierges in the industry! This time we added karaoke and quickly learned that this rig will have a permanent spot on the yacht from now on 😎

And what a perfect surprise it was to bring out TracyB_Sax. His performance on the top deck was top notch!

Last week I DJ at a networking party and once everyone got settled in, I hosted speed networking for the first time.

The idea was to put people in different groups and give them a topic to discuss. Then I asked people to walk around the room and meet someone new and had a topic of conversation ready for that as well.

The result was giving people a reason to break away from their usual conversations with the same people and turn the entire room into feeling more like family. At the end of it all, I asked everyone if there was anyone left they haven't met and no one raised their hand, which means it was a success!

Anyone who has seen me on the mic knows that I'm all about being personable and this idea is definitely my jam. If you're hosting a networking event, I'd be happy to host speed networking for you!

My life motto is "a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet" and it rang true that night! 🦩

We took a break from throwing epic parties to help change the lives of others in a charitable way, turning an empty apartment into a home with Digs with Dignity 🤩

10 of us from WIPA Chicago teamed up to help clean and furnish this apartment for a family who was exiting homelessness. Digs with Dignity interviewed the family, learned about their needs and wants, sourced all of the supplies, and delivered a truck full of goodies for us to help unpack.

It felt like we were on a home makeover TV show and oh so rewarding to see the family's reaction when they came in to see the completed project.

If you live in the Chicago area and looking to donate your time to a non-profit organization changing the lives of those exiting out of homelessness, you absolutely have got to reach out to Digs With Dignity.

One piece of advice to those of you planning your wedding is this...

Think of two nostalgic throwback songs that will unite your friends & family on the dance floor and make sure those two songs are played first to open up the dance floor.

That will absolutely send great vibes the dance floor like you see in these pictures from M&J's wedding.

Throughout our planning meetings, it was important to them that I honored all of their guests and play a mix of music that would satisfy a wide range of decades. We went with songs from the 2010s right into ABBA, then back to 2000s pop, EDM, and then into a few sing-a-longs.

We all over the place with the music, but one thing remained the same: great energy on the dance floor all night 🦩
