Air travel to Key West was a popular pick this summer, as evidenced by the latest airport data. 303,647 passengers used Key West International Airport over the summer months of June, July, and August, an increase of nearly 3,000 passengers over the same three months in 2024 and a 10 percent hike over Summer 2023. There was a 5.6 percent increase in passengers for month of August year over year.
August saw many milestones at EYW, including the opening of the new Conch Flyer restaurant and the announcement of Avelo Airlines starting nonstop service to Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) this holiday season. ✈JetBlue Airways resumes its seasonal service from Boston Logan International Airport to Key West on Thursday, Oct. 9, nonstop on the 140-seat Airbus A220-300.
✈Allegiant Air will add nonstop flights from Knoxville, Tennessee’s McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS), once daily on Fridays and Mondays, starting Oct. 3.
✈Nonstop daily service to Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) returns on Sunday, Oct. 26, on mainline 737-700 aircraft.
✈On Oct. 3, Breeze Airways launches service from Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU), to EYW on Mondays and Fridays.
