Wishing my dear friend and mentor: Pavel Srbecky: “ Congratulations on your move! Wishing you a fresh start and a home filled with happy memories.”

The legend at 42nd Cipriani under Rose Group Hospitality and then at their tenure at Capitale.

Thanks for the promotion from waiter to captain, many years ago, and seeing the potential. The rest is history…!

As you said to me one day: “ Watch me Davie, you will learn!”

Until we meet again! Need to start planning that Europe trip and looking forward for that cold b**r or shot of tequila!

You will always be family.

It was a true pleasure to see Jamie Kindos after so many years! A class act and legend in the catering world.

We agreed, Burt from Newman & Leventhal Caterers is dearly missed. However, the great memories and his legacy lives forever.

If you never met Mr. Burt Leventhal, but you met Jamie, consider yourself lucky. Jamie is an extension of his legacy.

One day, on a Sunday evening, while the wait staff were lining up for Main Course service, ( this was always our time for casual talk), Mr. Burt mentioned to me the following: “ David, you will learn the basics (90%) of the business in about a year. The other 10%, will take you a lifetime.”

About a decade later, it remains one of my all time favorite quotes. Post- Covid, it even made more sense. Events are constantly evolving, new trends, expectations to meet. And that’s ok. Learning is part of the journey.

Jamie is also a die hard NY Knicks and Rangers fan! How can you not love this guy!
