Lake Cooper Foundation Linking people and their communities together through involvement. Hugh L. Cooper was the designer of the Keokuk Dam.

The pool created behind the dam, Lake Cooper, is named in his honor and is the largest pool in the series of dams with 240 miles (390 km) of shoreline.

Lake Cooper Foundation is looking for a non-profit organization that would like to take over the Oktoberfest activities on Saturday September 26th during the Big Dam Street Festival at the Keokuk riverfront in Victory Park. Interested parties should attend one of our upcoming monthly meetings, June 7th or July 12th, 3pm at Lake Cooper Foundation 810 Main Street or contact us for information.
