So far this season I've spent 3 days moving snow and went through 15 gallons of diesel, 2 shovels, and 300 pounds of ice melt... The season is just getting started and I'm already over it....

Delivered some pies and goodies to God's Way and Fort Madison food pantry that Conagra donated!! Shoveled some snow for our neighbors!! It's great to be alive!!! Get out and get involved in our community!!!!

Come enjoy a warm meal and socialize with some great people!! 100% free to anyone!!! 1st Tuesday EVERY month at Lake Cooper Foundation 810 Main St Keokuk

I am proud to announce The Lighthouse will be joining us every month during our meals, starting Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025! 

Michael Chatelain started The Lighthouse as a way to distribute essential winter items such as nonperishables, hats, gloves, socks, blankets, hoodies, jackets, backpacks with hygiene products and a list of resources to the homeless and those in need. 

Our meals are the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the Lake Cooper Foundation at 810 Main St. in Keokuk! Our next meal will be provided by Faithie's Smokehouse Meats and Catering and Living Word Ministry!

I encourage everyone to give The Lighthouse a follow and support Michael’s cause!

With some donated materials, less than $200, and a few volunteer manhours, Lake Cooper Foundation was able to secure the space behind our neighbor, Stan's Pastry Shop!! A huge THANK YOU goes out to Carlos Larson, Mike Meyers and Lowe's of Burlington for the donations and to Stan's Pastry Shop for being an AWESOME neighbor and allowing us to utilize the space when needed!!! Thank you Doug Matlick and Michael Arnold for helping with the installation!!

Join us the first Tuesday of every month from 6-7 PM at the Lake Cooper Foundation building at 810 Main Street for a FREE community meal for those in need.

Our next meal will be on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th, 2025!
