On April 13th a stray tabby mamma cat was found with her babies in the basement window well at our flower shop. 💐 We counted 7 kittens. 🐱
Two days later, we came in early and found just 4 kittens huddled together. We hoped the mom was just relocating them…but after 8+ hours, it became clear she wasn’t coming back.
At this age they need to be fed every 2-3 hours and cannot survive in temperatures below 90 degrees without their mother to keep them warm. Luckily, one of our employees was kind enough to take them in...
Our employee Natalie & her partner had to turn their closet into a full blown nursery and syringe feed all 4 kittens every 3 hours...that includes in the middle of the night!
After a lot of patience, multiple vet visits, and an extreme amount of love we now have 5 week old healthy kittens! 💖 Since they have been hand fed since they were just 5 days old they LOVE people. They are incredibly snuggly, affectionate, playful, and full of love.
