I’m Shanle Bowen, a wedding & engagement photographer based in North Georgia, and I have the absolute joy of capturing couples & stories that are joyful, romantic, and timeless. 🫶✨

There are weddings you photograph, and then there are weddings you *feel*.

These two are every bit as sweet and joyful as they look, and their playful energy set the tone for the entire day! In her organized fashion, Shelby thought through every detail ahead of time so that when the wedding finally arrived, she and Alex could simply be present—laughing, soaking it all in, and truly living their day.

Cool November breezes kissed our faces and danced with her veil, giving us dramatic portraits - and a few good laughs when we got tangled up in it! The trees, though past peak color, still gave us a golden show… leaves drifting down like their own celebratory confetti. It felt pretty magical—like autumn was joining in the celebration!

After a ceremony filled with both laughter and tears, we wandered down to the lake and spent golden hour twirling, strolling, and savoring the sweetest light before rejoining their guests to continue the celebration in style! I left with my heart completely full, grateful to have been invited to witness this little chapter.

Some wedding days just radiate joy—and Spencer and Molly’s was one of them. ✨

Their First Touch and private vows were the kind of moments that stop you in your tracks… tender, sincere, and overflowing with emotion. You could feel how much they cherish one another in every quiet word they shared.

And Molly’s bridesmaids? Goodness. They celebrated her with such warmth and excitement—cheering her on, tearing up with her, and making her feel so deeply loved. It was the sweetest kind of joy: shared, honest, and contagious.

Some weddings take your breath away—not because of their grandeur, but because of their heart. 🤍

Carissa and Austin’s day was one of those. A small, deeply meaningful ceremony at their home church—simple, sacred, and overflowing with love.

Every moment throughout the day was filled with emotion that was felt by everyone: her mom’s tears when she saw her in her gown for the first time, their vows that had everyone (including me 🥹) wiping away tears, the warmth in their guests’ eyes as they watched the first dance, completely captivated by the joy in front of them.

It was intimate. Honest. Beautifully human. The kind of day that reminds you love doesn’t need a big stage to be powerful—it just needs people who mean it.

These are the stories that stay with me, the ones I tell my children about as they watch me curate and build a gallery of photos as detailed as any storybook. The ones where you can feel the respect, the tenderness, and the joy that holds everything together.

Because that’s what I hope every couple gets to experience—a wedding that feels like them. Unhurried. Heartfelt. Full of love that lingers long after the last dance.

There was laughter in the air, color tipping the trees, and peace woven through every moment.

Nathan and Michaela spent their day exactly how they dreamed it—surrounded by their favorite people, completely at ease, and so excited to finally begin forever together. Their first look? Pure joy. The kind that fills the whole room (and yes, had me wiping away a few tears). 🥹

We built their timeline with slow moments and soft edges—plenty of space to breathe, laugh, and soak in every bit of autumn’s beauty. And the design was nothing short of a dream. Bethanne () transformed the Cowan Historic Mill into a vintage autumn dreamscape with lush dahlias, velvety roses, and berry-draped branches that made the space feel alive.

This is the heart of what I love most—helping my couples experience their day fully. Not rushed, not preformative—just deeply, joyfully present.
