Happy New Year! Congratulations to you all that were engaged during the holidays. You are now moving into a new chapter in your lives and Bastyr University Chapel is happy to work with you during this time. The Bastyr Chapel is available for rental for wedding ceremonies to celebrate your committment to one another. Please know that Bastyr University is following the guidelines and mandates from the State of Washington's Governors Office regarding wedding ceremonies and gatherings as they stand at the time of the ceremony. It is with great hope that as we proceed through 2021 these guidelines and mandates will change for us all.

We are all in this together! Our team here at Bastyr is closely monitoring information coming from the CDC and local government regarding gatherings for events and will continue to communicate about our closure status. We know how unsettling this time may be for our upcoming couples planning their wedding ceremonies at the Chapel, and we want you to know that we are here for you to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
There are uncertain times and we are taking it day-by-day. We hope to see you all back in the chapel very soon. Be well!

An update from University Events and Guest Services at Bastyr University:
Bastyr University is committed to the health and safety of our community during this time of COVID-19. In response, a decision was made to cancel all gatherings on all of the Bastyr University campuses (Kenmore, Seattle and San Diego) for the remaining month of March and all of April. It is with a heavy heart that this decision was made, but the health and safety of our community is our first priority. We look forward to having the chapel filled with music and celebration again in the near future. Please feel free to reach out with any questions to [email protected].

It may be a rainy day here in the Seattle area, but all we can think about is how beautiful the stained glass in the chapel will look when the sun comes back out!
The Bastyr University Chapel has many beautiful spots indoors and outdoors for capturing the perfect photos of your wedding day.
Fun Fact: The building that houses Bastyr University and our gorgeous chapel was originally built for the Catholic Archdioceses of Seattle. Since moving into the building in 1996, Bastyr has not changed anything inside the chapel (with the exception of removing the original crucifix). in an effort to preserve its beautiful history and design.

The Seattle Wedding Show is coming up on January 12 & 13, 2019 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. This is the largest wedding show on the West Coast so do not miss it!
