Today’s spotlight is Chicken Pastel.

Filipino chicken pastel is a creamy, savory chicken dish often cooked with vegetables and sometimes sausage depending on the recipe.

It has Spanish influence but developed into a distinctly Filipino comfort dish.

Creamy sauce + chicken + rice nearby?

That situation tends to resolve itself pretty quickly. 😄

Dinakdakan is an Ilocano pork dish from Northern Luzon, usually made with chopped grilled or boiled pork mixed with onions, chilies, and a creamy dressing.

Smoky, savory, tangy, spicy.

Dinakdakan apparently looked at “pick one flavor” and declined. 😄

Today’s spotlight is Rellenong Bangus.

Rellenong bangus is stuffed milkfish. The fish is carefully deboned, then filled again with seasoned fish meat and other ingredients before being cooked.

Yes, somebody looked at a fish and decided dinner needed an engineering department. 😄

The result is one of the Philippines’ classic special-occasion dishes.

⚡ Our Filipino-inspired Lotus energy drinks are making their debut.

We’ve been testing, tweaking, tasting, tweaking again, and probably drinking more Lotus than was necessary. 😂 Tomorrow you finally get to try them.

Harvest Fest will also have live music, local artists and vendors, a kids costume contest, and plenty going on around downtown.

Come hang out, grab some Filipino food, and be one of the first to try the new drinks.
