Check out this hilarious parody of Star Wars, called "Hardware Wars," that was made in 1978. I remember seeing it on HBO in the early 1980s. This was way ahead of its time for a parody that broke the 4th wall.

Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi on the ginormous big screen with surround sound Sunday, May 4th at The Colonial Theatre in downtown Keene, NH. If you've never seen these films on the big screen, you don't know what you're missing.

📽️ Join us for the Star Wars Festival at the Colonial Theatre in downtown Keene, NH, on May 4th with screenings of Star Wars at 11:00 AM, The Empire Strikes Back at 2:00 PM, and Return of the Jedi at 5:00 PM. - all on the ginormous screen with cinema surround sound. Exactly the way films are meant to be seen!

🎆 Greg here, the cinema curator of the Colonial and Showroom Theaters. As a 12-year-old watching Star Wars for the first time in 1977, I was blown away by the special effects and the film's look. It was the coolest movie I had ever seen so far in my young life.
It wasn't until years later that I got a glimpse of how this film was made so special.
