Hip hip hooray! We have a new way (to unlock our doors!)

Starting next week (3/21) - our entry will be wireless! The box location and way to enter is exactly the same, just a new lockbox. Please read some details below!

Our new WiFi box will enable renters to rent more back to back, offering more time slots and ease of entry. Our new box is located on the same side of the building as the old one and some important notes! 📝
🖊️ your code remains the SAME!
🖊️ we will no longer be in after each renter, so we truly appreciate you being diligent with cleaning up after yourself and setting the studio up for the next renter (cameras are still in use; all expectations can be found on our website)
🖊️ no more personal message on the sign, but know WE VALUE you and all you create!
🖊️ timely exits are a must unless you are granted permission as there may be a renter directly after you
🖊️ ARE YOU A FREQUENT FLYER?! Aka, constantly in? Skip the manual entry of the lockbox, and get a keycard. They are $5 and you just wave it near the box and it opens! We’d love to get you one. Otherwise, your 4 digit code will get you right in. Message us to purchase one.

PROM PROM PROM!!!
📢 WE ARE OPEN FOR BIZNESSSS

For Kearney High and Kearney Catholic Prom this year, we have created time slots for you guys to rent by the HALF hour! The perfect 👌🏽 amount of time to come in, take photos in front of these GOOOOORGEOUS (and perfectly matching this years apparel) backdrops, along with our other options in studio. At only $30 per 1/2 hour, you can bring you and alllll your friends to take photos.

The floral. The simple blue. The options. 😘 chefs kiss!

Honestly, rain or shine on your prom day, these set ups are waiting to be used! Sneak in for 30 minutes and then head outside if it’s nice. Saint James square is literally the center of Kearney, with walking distance to downtown! We hope the sun is beaming on your prom day.

🌸 Spring Has Sprung 🌺

We think we all could use the hope of spring right about now. Although the outside is absolutely frigid, we have planted some sweet reminders of the blooming colors and sun that’s on its way.

Our set ups this year are so full 🥹 We hope you love them like we do. Pictured here are 2/3 that we will have, our main events if you will! One more dainty little thing to come!

We were able to keep some white wall space in the studio, as well as keeping the bed, paper roll backdrops, and all other props 100% usable!

We moved some things around to accommodate our set ups, and we C A N N O T wait to see what you do with these.

The blue will need a small bit of set up to be used, and we are happy to offer an additional 30 min add on time now! So if you feel like you need a little more time for sessions/clean up, just know you can now add that onto your booking! *it takes about 4-10 minutes to set up/take down. You can refer to these photos to help!

The floral ladder is on our back wall and will remain up until about May 9th! All other sets will come down then as well. So mark your calendars and book those;

We have simplified your booking by allowing you to review our terms and policies on our website. This will act as the code of honor during your time of using the space.

We will always have the website updated with current policies and printed contracts in studio for you to view, too!

Now, you’ll just receive one email from us when you book. The check in and out sheet (which is posted on our wall!) and your unique code that is never changing all in the same email!

No more having to sign every 6 months. We are so thankful you evolve with us as we grow, adapt, learn, and keep The LightBox full of safe and creative spaces.

We’re a little wobbly here, as we have always wanted to keep it simple, but just are a little weary on the real world stuff. Thanks for hanging with us 🥲

We are so so grateful to partner with again for Valentines! The multi-colored balloon heart just doesn’t happen without her…so come on in and don’t forget to tag her so she can see all you create too! She even brought some props for you with a big X and O…what a doll 🥰.

🎀 And of course, a dainty little bow area perfect for those close ups and kissy faces!! We’ve set out those cutey sunglasses and other lovey-dove props for y’all to use. So go to town!!

RENTERS!! Here ya go! 👩‍🍳 🎄 ❄️

Home for the Holidays.
Feel free to share this post with your clients so they know the 3 set ups that will be available for use and their color schemes for outfit planning ☺️

❄️ Important to note! We attached a photo of the cool winter blue that will be up soon with the flakes! You can expect that blue with the dangling snowflakes.

🎅🏽 the living room set speaks for itself with the beautiful rug and deep reds, golds, and greens for a classic at home feel.

👩‍🍳 you will need to bring your own cookies/dough. We have a small container of flour and all the utensils/cookie cutters for your use!

🧼 ALSO! We have added half an hour option for clean up during this rental time. You can add that on for a small fee if you plan on using the flour for the 🍪 or simply just need extra time with all the delicate things! We recommend adding it if you plan on doing a simple 1 hour session all the way up to minis you’re hosting, as it does take a bit to clean up/move things back for the next guest.

🎁 HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS 🎄

MINI SESSIONS ARE HERE! They will be on November 16th in Kearney .studio

Oh this years set up is WAY too cute. Our brains stormed up some holiday cheer 🥲

🛋️ We have the cutest “cozy living room” set up this side of the Mississippi. Perfect for families and kids. Filled with faux presents, our 9 foot tree, the red couch, and a cute touch on the wall, this is your classic take on Christmas.

Hanging flakes ❄️ think BLUE! We will post in our “Christmas”highlight the blue that will take over the cream wall, but for now, envision a simple yet whimsical set up with hanging white snowflakes with a frosty blue background. Options are endless with this one.

Christmas cookies 🍪 with the real deal! For our mini sessions, we will have flour and dough and pre baked cookies to make the perfect baking scene! A hands on station to create some fun memories during your 2024 holiday session. Complete with all the kitchen essentials. The smell of a home during Christmas is almost unbeatable.

🤍Sunday Surprise!🤍

A few weeks ago we had you guess what was coming. And although no one quite got it, we hope you’ll fall in love with our change up. 🛏️

Not only does it move easily, but we’ve attached some curtain clips if you want to use some colored curtains/drapes. You can hang them, clip them, however they work for you! Or, you can not use them and photograph it plain! Endless options for the feel you are going for.

Some have already been able to use it for their sessions and we can’t WAIT to see how you use the new bed frame. Be sure to tag us! 🏷️

A fresh new wall color for you!!

We know most of us will be outdoors for those sweet and rich fall colors, but just in case the weather gets a little rough, we wanted something indoors with a little fall vibe too that can stretch for any outfit or session.

Think Toffee - Deep Taupe - Golden 🥧🍂

This color is darker, more rich and yellow tone based compared to our pull down cream backdrop. And once they open those pumpkin patches, those iconic white and pale green pumpkins will make their way in to play along with this little neutral number!

We can’t believe we’re already posting about holiday things, but, as a creative, IYKYK 🤪

We wanted to give you a heads up on dates the studio is completely closed for holiday hours, as well as share about a new policy we’re implanting for this winter season! We wouldn’t have this problem if it weren’t for all of our great renters 😭 so in a way, thank you!

We often run into the issue of so many people wanting to use the space during the cold and dreary months. 1. It books FAST! And 2. WELL in advance! So in order to be as fair as possible to all our renters, our policy will have a clause for these months, that your refund - regardless of cancellation time - will only be refunded at 50% regardless of when cancelled. Unless you reschedule your apt, there is no fee there. The 50% return will come to you if you decide to completely cancel your rental.

Of course, weather and sickness happens. We understand these situations! We will be in contact with you if you need to reschedule your rental. 🤒

As bookings pour in, we are hopeful you and your clients stay healthy and safe this coming season. Saturdays and Sundays are high volume days, so take advantage while they’re open! 🗓️

We will send out an email and have a sign posted in our studio during these months with our closed holidays and winter rental policy.

It’s Christmas in July around here! 🎅🏽 🧨 ☀️

As downtime occurs, we are busy at work thinking months ahead. Although our vision with this red tufted beauty is for Christmas time, we know it’ll get some summer use!

Along with our second hand couch, we found these beauties 🤩 A fur rug! Think babies, kids, bo***ir. And a nice velvet black and gold stool. Truly endless options with all these timeless pieces!

We try to update our lighted box with things that will spark creativity and mean something to you!

Today, we woke up T W O 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

Our little dream has been alive, thriving, and shining light for 730 days. We nearly have no words. The LightBox was birthed out of an idea to create a communal space for photographers and creatives to have ample space and light; and it has brought so much more. Small events, bridal parties getting ready the morning of the wedding, graduating seniors hosting their parties, newborns, families, branding photos, and everything in between.. we are in awe! We cannot wait to see what another 3️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ days has in store for us.

🫢 truly, crying typing. It’s just a beautiful gift to have our space so loved. THANK YOU DOES NOT COVER IT!

🚨 ☘️ KEARNEY CATHOLIIIIIIC! It’s your turn ☺️

This Sunday, we will open our doors for photos. The weather is looking kind, but we know our state well 💨 Swing by for an open, bright, and beautiful space to snag some mems of your 2024 prom!

🕚 3:00-5:00pm PROMPT ☺️ We will kindly ask those to leave once open house is timed out.

💸 $5 per student! Basically those dressed up for the occasion! Please note we are doing CASH ONLY. Entry fee gets you access to take photos anywhere you would like in the studio using our props, chairs, rolling wall, etc. Please be kind and rotate through timely so everyone gets a chance to use each spot. Students are welcome to bring in loved ones to take their photos.
