Our dear lynn…. Lynn was a friend to so many. She protected diversity in her many years at Hallmark. Her steadfast service to the Reggae World Music Community by producing, promoting, and positive light for more than 40 years can never be replaced. While I’m missing a friend, Kansas City, Lawrence Kansas and our community is missing a bright star. Praying for the Family and all who Love her.
We are absolutely devastated.
Yesterday, we lost our friend, our colleague, and a deeply valued member of our family, Lynn Abrams
Lynn was not just a board member, she was a driving force behind so much of what we do. As co-editor of JAM Magazine and a passionate supporter of the JAM Awards, she poured her heart into celebrating this community and the artists who make it so special.
She was an avid supporter of the music community in both Kansas City and Lawrence. She always showed up, willing to give of her time, energy and her spirit so generously to the work she believed in.
We are grieving alongside her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. We do not have information on arrangements at this time, but we will share updates as they become available.
If there is any way we can support our community during this time, please reach out. That’s what Lynn would have done.
Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts.
We will miss her deeply.
