Thank You to Dave and Pam Bertrand for putting on our lecture night tonight at Ohara Council Knights Of Columbus 4387. What a wonderful program and educational as well, to learn about Irish whiskeys and how they’re made and the different taste and flavors that you have to experience. Thank you to everyone who attended , it was a great night for all to try some new things and socialize.
Watch for information that’ll be coming out for our next event in May. It will be very informational on services available to the homebound and disabled people in our lives. Also mark your calendars for that lecture night being May 20 starting at 7 PM, and also for May 21 for our summer series of family dinners. Information will be available soon.

Lecture night on April 30 will be an Irish whiskey tasting event. You will be sampling five different Irish whiskeys and getting a good explanation in history on each one on how they’re made and what regions of Ireland did they come from. Come join in on the fun. It’s $10 to participate to help sway the cost of the alcohol. Come have a taste, and time to socialize. I would like to have your reservation by 27 April you can pay at the door. We currently have approximately 25 people signed up so send me a text or give me a call so that we can know how much alcohol to buy and bring in.

This Friday, March 20, at the Archbishop Ohara Knights Of Columbus Council 4387, 5111 E. 112th Terrace, Kansas City, MO, we will be having our final Lenten fish fry for the season. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30. We will have fried and baked fish, pizza, pasta salad, salads, and assorted side vegetables along with a dinner roll . Dessert will also be available, all you can eat for $15 per person. Adult beverages will be available for a small donation. In addition to the dinner. We will be playing dessert, bingo prizes awarded for each bingo round will be desserts for you to take home. Come join the fun and see if you can win some goodies to take home.

Tomorrow Thursday, March 12 at 7 PM, we are going to initiate a series of lecture nights that we haven’t had for quite a while. This Thursday, Dr. Casey Berry, of All-Star Chiropractic, will be speaking to us on a program that he calls, “Stress Related Medical Issues & How to deal with them for the 50+ Generation”.
Dr. Berry is a renowned speaker in the Chiropractic community and gives lectures to many corporations and businesses throughout the Kansas City Metro area.
Please attend and let’s have a good showing for him, he will speak for about 30 to 45 minutes and have a question and answer. Period at the end.
Should be an interesting bit of information for all of us. If you have any questions, call Craig at 816– 585–7831.

Chili Contest on January 16 @ OHara Event Center , 5111 East 112th Terrace KCMO
$10 contest entry for any type of Chili you’d like to make. Voting will be by popular vote via tickets collected.
$20 will get you sampling cups and voting tickets and all you can eat Chili dinner, that will include crackers, cornbread and plenty of toppings for you chili. We will also have desserts and beverages!
All proceeds will benefit Kansas City Hospice
